Don't forget to eat on long runs and rides: eat and drink alerts plus carbs per hour on your data screen. • Separate countdowns for eating and drinking with progress rings • Full-screen alert + vibration + tone when it's time • Carbs taken so far and g/hour vs. your target • Compact layout for small data-field slots • Set intervals, carbs per serving and target in Garmin Connect • Works on watches and Edge bike computers Step 1. Add the field: on the watch open an activity (Run, Bike…), hold UP/MENU, then open Settings, then Data Screens, choose a screen and a field, then pick Connect IQ and Fuel Reminder. On Edge: Activity Profiles, then Data Screens. Step 2. Turn on alerts: on many watches Connect IQ alerts are off by default. In the same activity settings open Alerts, then Connect IQ, and switch Fuel Reminder on. Menu names can differ slightly between models.
