Description
HR2VP computes calories and real-time power based on heart rate. The power estimation can consider individual parameters such as minimum heart rate, maximum heart rate, and FTP (Functional Threshold Power). For the FTP parameter, you can calibrate the app (get the best parameter for you) by using the phone version of HR2VP (companion app). Connect your bike trainer or power meter and a heart rate monitor during a ride. Additionally, there's a new feature: connect your Apple Watch to your Garmin device to visualize heart rate data during your ride. To do this, enable broadcasting to this data field in HR2VP's Settings (companion app on iOS). Start a workout in HR2VP's companion app on your Apple Watch and then start HR2VP on your phone. This app is a data field, meaning you need to manually add it to one of your screen profiles before using it. The app is free to try for 15-minute workouts. To unlock the field for longer workouts: 1/ Download HR2VP for Android or iOS (Companion App). 2/ Subscribe or buy Lifetime access in the HR2VP app on your phone (~$3/month or $35 Lifetime). 3/ Ensure the data field is added to one of your screens on your Garmin device. 4/ Start an activity on your Garmin device and select the screen with the HR2VP data field ('trial' should be visible). 5/ Ensure your Garmin device is paired with your phone via Garmin Connect. 6/ Click on the 'Unlock' button in the Settings of HR2VP on your phone. 7/ 'trial' should disappear from your Garmin device screen. If you still encounter issues, feel free to contact us and tell us what happens. If you purchased the Wear OS version of HR2VP called 'HR2VP Watch Bike Computer', no additional purchase is required. If you enable broadcasting to the Garmin Data Field in the Watch app Settings, the Data Field will unlock automatically after receiving the first message. In this case, the Wear OS Watch will send heart rate and power data to your phone, which will then send it to your Garmin device. For this reason, your phone is required during the ride in this case.
