You can find my other IQ Apps here: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/developer/6f47c07c-abce-409e-a61a-c2d1f72ed684/apps • To use the data field you have to modify an existing application such as "Run" via "Run Settings". Change the "Layout" to 1 field (press enter to enter the layout option, then press the up arrow a few times until you see 1 field). You will find this data field in the "Connect IQ" group. Overview The design of this data field includes a number of fixed data elements and a number of elements which are configured for a particular sport/activity. The top and bottom rows are common to all the data fields in my ‘Multi’ family. The six data elements in the middle two rows are configured for a particular sport/activity. Below is a description of the data elements provided in this version: Fixed Data Fields In the top row the fields are as follows from left to right: 1. Total Calories for Activity (est.) 2. Time of Day, 24Hr or AM/PM from watch settings 3. Battery Charge% 4. Current Energy expenditure in Calories per minute (est.) In the bottom row the fields are as follows from left to right: 1. Activity Time 2. Total distance in km or miles Heart Rate Zone Gauge Around the edge of the display a heart rate zone gauge is displayed. The five zones are taken from the settings you have made for your profile for this activity. The contrasting ticker will update as the heart rate information is received to show you which zone you are currently in. Trail Run Multi Field – Take a look at my other ‘Multi’ datafields if these don’t meet your needs Field Descriptions from left to right, top row first: 1. Total Ascent~ 2. Current Altitude~ 3. Total Descent~ 4. Average Pace in minutes per km or mile taken from watch settings 5. Current Pace 6. Current Heart Rate ~ Altitude figures are displayed directly from the watch data. If your device does not have a barometric sensor GPS jitter may cause significant errors. Garmin does smooth this data out when you upload to the cloud so you will see some variation. General Settings The data field also adapts itself based on other settings you have made on your device 1. Distance and altitude units are taken from the device setup 2. Background color is taken from App default settings for this activity 3. Time of day format is taken from 12/24hr setting on the device 4. The font selection in the data field is automatic based on the data that needs to be displayed and the space available. This can make the display look different when the data is different but I wanted to maximise the font size as best I could. Anything Else? If there are any bugs, additions or changes that you can spot let me know and I will do my best to incorporate 1. Localization has been provided for the data element labels only 2. The languages supported are English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese. If you are happy to provide translations for other languages I will do my best to incorporate them. If you do, bear in mind that they need to be six characters or less to fit in.
