Description
Paceband – a digital pace band for your marathon Set your target marathon time once, and Paceband shows the target time for every checkpoint on your watch, calculated at an even pace. No more paper pace band around your wrist. What you see - Your running time (the activity timer), large at the top - The target times for 5, 10, 15, 20, 21.1 (half marathon), 25, 30, 35 and 40 km, and the finish - Your target pace per km at the bottom The half marathon checkpoint is exactly half of your finish time, so a 3:15:00 target gives 1:37:30 at halfway. Settings (in the Connect IQ app on your phone) - Target marathon time: as h:mm:ss, for example 3:15:00 (default) - Display: Automatic (full table when it fits) or Compact (large running time) How to use Add Paceband as a data field to your running activity. It's designed to be the only field on a data screen, so you can see all checkpoints at a glance. Smaller screens and multi-field layouts Most supported watches show the full table. On the watches below the table doesn't fit, so Paceband switches to a compact view: a large running time, together with: - the last checkpoint whose target time has already passed - the next checkpoint and its target time Compact view only on: - Forerunner 55, 645 / 645 Music, 935 - fēnix 5 / 5S / 5X, fēnix 5 Plus / 5S Plus / 5X Plus, fēnix Chronos - Instinct 2 / 2S / 2X, Instinct 3 Solar, Instinct E - Venu Sq / Sq Music, Venu Sq 2 / Sq 2 Music - vívoactive HR - D2 Charlie, D2 Delta / Delta PX / Delta S - Descent Mk1, Descent G1 For example, once your timer passes 23:06 (the 5 km target for a 3:15:00 marathon), you'll see "5 km 23:06" followed by "10 km 46:13". Before the first checkpoint it shows "Start 0:00", and after your finish time only "Fin" remains. On any watch, if you add Paceband to a data screen with two or more fields, it shows just these two checkpoint lines. Prefer the compact view on a larger screen? In the app settings (Connect IQ app), set Display to Compact. Note: Paceband doesn't use GPS. The checkpoints follow your running time, not the distance you've covered. If you're behind schedule, the next checkpoint may already appear before you've actually reached the previous one.
Nouveautés
- New setting "Display": choose Compact to get a large running time with your last and next checkpoint, also on watches with a larger screen. - Compact view: the running time is now much larger, with the last checkpoint above it and the next checkpoint below it. - Fixed: on Venu Sq, Venu Sq Music and Instinct 2S the running time was missing when Paceband was the only field on the screen. - Instinct: the small round window at the top right is now left empty. - Settings are now in English.
