Description
Your average pace and average heart rate over a window you choose, in one data field. ROLLING or BLOCK • Rolling: always the last N, updated every second. Steadier than instant pace, without waiting for a lap. • Block: the last completed N, held until the next one completes. Windows by distance (200 m to 5 km, including ½, 1 and 2 miles) or by time (30 seconds to 20 minutes). A SUMMARY ALERT THAT WORKS WITH AUTO-LAP OFF Set the field to rolling 400 m and still get a full-screen summary every 1 km: average pace and average heart rate over the kilometre just finished, with a vibration. It is the auto-lap split screen without creating a lap, so it keeps working when auto-lap has to stay off: during structured workouts, or alongside data fields that use the lap button themselves. • Alert every distance or every time interval, or off • Vibration optional • Since you can't pause an activity whilst an alert is displayed, alerts are delayed by 3 seconds YOUR COLOURS Text and background colour for pace and for heart rate, set separately for the field and for the alert screen. Defaults: pace in the screen's own colour, heart rate in red. DETAILS • Pace in your watch's units (/km or /mi) • Grey values mean the window isn't full yet • Pauses are excluded; heart-rate dropouts are skipped, never counted as zero • Alerts fall every N from the start, like auto-lap, so they don't drift • Fits text to round screens in every layout, from one field to many • Records its values, and what each alert showed, to the activity file as developer fields REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITATIONS • Distance windows use the watch's GPS distance and share its accuracy. • Heart rate needs a wrist or external heart-rate sensor. • Settings are changed in the Connect IQ app on your phone, or on some watches, when you add the data field to a data screen. • Watches with less memory keep a sparser history; the window edge is interpolated, so the averages are unaffected. Heart rate is shown as training information only, not for medical use. PRIVACY The field collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere. Its values are written only to your own activity file.
