Description
Send up to four commands from your watch to your own Bluetooth Low Energy device, for example an ESP32 that switches an LED, a relay, a garage door or a light. How it works: • Open the widget, pick a command, done. The watch scans, connects, sends and shows the result with a short (OK) or long (error) vibration. • Every command can be protected with a shared key (HMAC-SHA256) and a one-time nonce, so commands cannot be faked or replayed. • Name, payload (hex) and on/off for each of the 4 commands are set in the Garmin Connect app. • Optional device name filter, scan timeout and custom service UUIDs. Requirements: This widget needs a matching counterpart. It does NOT control commercial smart home devices out of the box. You need a BLE device running the BLE Remote protocol, e.g. an ESP32 with the open firmware (link below). Settings (Garmin Connect app → Connect IQ → BLE Remote): • Key: hex, 16–64 bytes, same as on the ESP32. Empty = no security (testing only). • Device name filter, scan timeout (3–30 s) • Command 1–4: active, menu name, payload
