Computed on your wrist. Harmonic Tides predicts the tide on the watch itself, from the harmonic constants of 2,653 tide stations in 113 countries. The complete data set travels inside the app. No phone, no internet, no account, no subscription. It works offshore, abroad and years ahead. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT • Truly offline: nothing to download, nothing to sync. Every station and the full harmonic calculation live on the watch. • Every constituent: each station uses all of its tidal constituents from a scientific tide gauge database, not a simplified handful. Any day from 1902 to 2037. • The whole world in one purchase: 2,653 stations on every coast, no regions to buy. • Water window: tell the app the depth you need and it shows when you have it. • Your own port: correct a nearby station with the differences from a local tide table, the method of the official Admiralty tables. • Alarms on the wrist, even when the app is closed. WHAT YOU SEE • Now: height above chart datum with direction and rate per hour, a 24 hour curve with every high and low water and the night shaded, and a countdown to the next tide. • Tide table: all high and low waters of a day, the range compared with the station's mean, spring or neap, sunrise and sunset. • Water window: set a depth for a harbour bar, a slipway, a reef or a wading path and see when the water is above or below it, how long it stays and when the next window opens. • 30 day calendar: the daily range as bars with the moon phases, so the biggest and smallest tides stand out. • Station: distance and bearing, type of tide, mean range, HAT and MSL, number of constituents, data source, and the air pressure with its estimated effect on the water level. WITHOUT OPENING THE APP • Tide alarms before high water, low water, or the opening and closing of a water window, each with its own lead time from 10 minutes to 2 hours. • A glance with height, direction and the next tide. • A complication for your watch face, for example "HW 12:52". FIND YOUR STATION • Nearest station by GPS, the ten nearest as a list, favourites and recent stations, or a station by number or coordinates. • Up to 8 own ports with time and height corrections. • Height datum of your choice: LAT, MLLW (USA) or MSL. FOR THE CURIOUS • Harmonics: which constituents shape the tide at your station, and how much comes from the moon and how much from the sun. • Compare two stations, for example a harbour and its river mouth. • Air pressure hint from the watch barometer or Garmin weather: low pressure raises the water, high pressure lowers it. FOR SAILORS, SURFERS, ANGLERS, DIVERS AND WALKERS Plan a harbour entry, a surf session on the rising tide, a shore dive at high water or a walk across the flats, wherever you are. MADE FOR 82 GARMIN WATCHES Laid out for every screen: AMOLED, MIP and the Instinct, whose subscreen shows a tide clock, the moon or the time left in a water window. On Instinct 3 Solar and Instinct E, own ports are set up in the app settings on the phone, and harmonics and compare are not available. 10 LANGUAGES English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Danish, Swedish and Norwegian. The app follows the language of the watch and uses the terms of each country's tide tables. The settings in Garmin Connect appear in the language of your phone. PLEASE NOTE Astronomical tide only. Wind, storm surge and river flow are not included, and the air pressure hint is an estimate. Computed datums can differ from official chart datums. Garmin may delay or skip background alarms. Not for navigation.
