Description
GARMIN WARNING: This widget is intended only as a flight planning aid and is NOT for in-flight use and should NOT be used as a primary information source. The METAR/TAF widget is based *heavily* on Garmin's built-in widget (for the D2™ watch series) but with some improvements (and some drawbacks) and is designed to compliment the existing widget rather than replace it (at least on the D2 Bravo/Charlie). NOTE: Please do not leave suggestions, requests or bug reports in the reviews. Instead, please use the "Contact Developer" button above; I will endeavour to reply to everyone. Or alternatively, post a comment in the forums here: https://forums.garmin.com/developer/connect-iq/f/showcase/3418/widget-metar-taf Major improvements over the built-in METAR widget: • display overview of four/five nearest METARs on a single screen • display calculated density altitude and freezing level • can be used when BLE connection is not enabled/working (data will not be updated without BLE) • configurable units: as published, same as home aerodrome, always metric, always imperial • pull a random station by entering the ident 'ZZZZ' TROUBLESHOOTING: If you see the Connect IQ error page, please try changing the settings using Garmin Express (might be a settings issue with GCM) or try uninstalling and then re-installing the widget. If that doesn't solve the problem permanently or the problem continues to pop up, please contact me. Translations: • Douglas Robertson (French) • Francisco Beltran (Spanish) • Marieke van Asten (Dutch, German) • Simon Vanderkerken (Dutch) • Christian Decker (German) • Andrew Zinkov (Russian) • Google Translate (Italian) *** IMPORTANT: *** This widget should be used for informational purposes only. Although every attempt has been made to ensure the latest METAR/TAF data is retrieved, none of the information displayed by the widget (including, but not limited to, calculated density altitude, freezing levels and flight categories) should be used as a primary source when flight planning. Always ensure you do proper flight planning using data/information from official sources. You accept all responsibility for any activities for which this widget is used or relied on for.
