Description
Sunrise, sunset, golden hour and daylight left, calculated on your watch with no phone and no internet. • Countdown: daylight left until sunset, or time to sunrise after dark • Sunrise, sunset, solar noon, day length and how much longer or shorter it is than yesterday • Golden hour and blue hour, morning and evening, for photos and walks • Civil, nautical and astronomical twilight (dawn and dusk) • Polar day and polar night are handled, with white nights shown as "--" where the sun never gets that low • Look ahead: tap or press START to see tomorrow and the next 6 days • Optional vibration reminder before the golden hour, sunset or sunrise (set in the app settings; works as a system prompt, no notification permission needed) • Glance: next sun event, time left and day length • Uses the location from your last GPS activity or weather; if there is no fix it keeps the last known place, or enter coordinates in the settings • Daylight saving time follows your watch clock Times use the NOAA solar algorithm and were checked against an exact solution of the same model and against an independent astronomy library for 15 places and dates, including the Arctic, southern hemisphere and DST changes (within 1 minute at normal latitudes; near the polar circles the sun barely moves, so times there are less certain). Sea-level horizon, no terrain, no weather. Golden hour = sun from 6° above to 4° below the horizon, blue hour = 4° to 6° below. For information only, not for navigation.
