Modello GMT is a modern tool watch face inspired by the tradition of Italian industrial watchmaking, where clarity, restraint, and purpose come before decoration. Designed as an homage to utilitarian timepieces born for real use, Modello GMT focuses on legibility, balance, and confidence. Every element exists for a reason. The layout is calm and intentional, prioritising immediate readability across all lighting conditions, without visual noise or unnecessary embellishment. Carefully adapted to Garmin’s ecosystem, Modello GMT is engineered to feel native on the wrist. It respects the strengths of Garmin hardware and software, integrating seamlessly with supported devices while maintaining a consistent visual identity across screen sizes and resolutions. Whether worn daily or during extended use, it remains composed, readable, and reliable. The result is a watch face that feels equally appropriate in everyday settings and demanding environments. Efficiency is a core principle of the design. Modello GMT is optimised for low energy consumption and long battery life, making it suitable for continuous wear. All visual components are rendered directly on the device using on-device drawing methods. There are no raster images, no SVGs, and no external assets. This approach ensures optimal performance, sharp rendering, and consistent appearance across all supported Garmin models. The GMT functionality is presented with clarity and restraint, allowing a second time zone to be tracked effortlessly without cluttering the main dial. 4.0: major colourful update! • new accent colours: Chilean Flamingo, Ultra Orange, Verdant Circuit, Lime Splash, Racing Yellow, Neon Orchid, British Lavender, Toothpaste, Tangerine, Rotten Cherry and Cobalt • all new and existing accent colours have been carefully curated for both white and black Solar / MIP backgrounds, as well as optimised for AMOLED displays • minute markers monochrome toggle: minute markers can now be set to monochrome independently of the accent colour, improving dial contrast across all colour themes • monochrome accent option: for those who prefer a cleaner, less saturated look on AMOLED, or a crisp black and white experience on Solar / MIP watches • second hand colour is now fully independent: choose any colour from the available palette • improved second hand rendering: a significant rendering refactor delivers a cleaner visual result and meaningfully reduces battery consumption on Solar / MIP devices when the second hand is set to "Always ON" • new complication: digital alternative time zone.
