tAvalanche SCA shows the official avalanche report for Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland on your Garmin watch: danger level by elevation, avalanche problems with the affected aspects, and the snowpack and activity texts. Guide with pictures: https://biertrinken.rocks/tavalanche WHAT YOU SEE - Danger level on the 5-level danger scale for each elevation band (e.g. above and below 1600 m) - Avalanche problems (new snow, wind slab, persistent weak layers, wet snow, gliding snow and more) with elevation, time of day and an aspect rose of the affected slopes - Validity of the report; it turns orange when the report is outdated. Two days after the end of the report its danger levels are no longer shown - Without a current report (e.g. outside the season) the app says so and shows the date of the last report - Glance: region name in the colour of the danger level, plus the danger and problem icons DETAILS Press START on the main screen: tendency, snowpack, avalanche activity and bulletin info (who issued the report and how long it is valid). The menu only lists what the report contains. REGIONS Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland. Hold UP (MENU) to open the settings: - Select Region: show another region now - Select Default Region: save it for the app and the glance You can also set the default region in the Connect IQ app on your phone. LANGUAGE If the warning service publishes the report in your watch language, tAvalanche shows that version, otherwise the English one. SAFETY tAvalanche shows a summary of the official avalanche report. Always read the full report from your avalanche warning service before a tour and make your decisions on site. - Off-season or missing reports: the app now says "No current report", "Not rated today" or "Report unavailable" and shows the date of the last report. - Danger levels of an outdated report are hidden two days after it ends ("outdated since [date]"). - Fewer requests: reports in your watch language are only requested where the warning service publishes them. - Fixed glance crashes. Without a report the glance shows the region name instead of its code.
