Telltale puts your boat's instruments on your wrist. Connect to the Telltale app on your iPhone or Android phone to see wind, boat speed, depth, heading and boat systems across seven pages: Rose, Station, Tack, Numbers, Systems, Recorder and Race. Record from the wrist. Start and finish a phone recording from the Recorder page. When the phone is out of reach, record with the watch's own GPS and heart rate, then transfer the recording to Telltale when you reconnect. Watch recordings are also Sailing activities in Garmin Connect. An optional companion activity mirrors a phone recording while the watch is connected. Follow the race countdown from your phone or read the boat's B&G race timer. Start, sync and reset from the Race page, with vibration cues through the countdown. A glance shows the latest boat readings and recording status. Compatible watches can publish SOG and true wind speed as watch-face complications. Requires the Telltale phone app and a Telltale account. An account is free for two boats. Live instrument readings require a supported boat connection: B&G H5000 or Zeus, Signal K, NMEA 0183 or Expedition. GPS-only recording works without boat instruments.
