Altitude Color Field Pro shows altitude, VAM or gradient in large digits on its zone colour. Climb detection provides average VAM, elevation gain, duration, average gradient and average power for the current or last climb. The main value and four corner values can be chosen independently for each display layer. The flat tile design matches Speed, Power, Cadence and HR Fuel + Heat Color Field Pro. FEATURES • Main value per layer: altitude, VAM, gradient or total ascent. • 30-second VAM using a regression line, robust against barometer noise. Altitude jumps from calibration and barometer drift during pauses are compensated. • Climb detection from 3 % over 100 m and at least 10 m of gain; short dips stay part of the climb. After the climb, the gain tile shows its category (Cat 4 to HC). • Corner values: altitude, VAM, gradient, total ascent and descent, climb average VAM, gain, duration, average gradient and average power, average VAM of all climbs, timer and distance. • Colours: VAM and gradient in seven configurable zones, descents on their own blue scale, altitude by the power loss at altitude, power by FTP zones. • FIT recording for Garmin Connect: VAM, average VAM of the current climb and average uphill VAM of the ride. • Up to three display layers on touchscreen devices. Tap to cycle through enabled layers. One layer is available on devices without touch. • Adapts to the data field size; metres or feet according to device settings; English, German and Italian. SETUP 1. Edit a data page in your cycling profile and select Connect IQ › Altitude Color Field Pro. 2. Use the Connect IQ app to choose the main value, corner values and enabled layers. 3. Optionally set FTP (otherwise taken from the Edge user profile) and the VAM and gradient zones. Defaults: VAM 300 / 600 / 900 / 1200 / 1500 / 1800 m/h, gradient 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 / 15 / 18 %. 4. Reload the activity profile after installation so the FIT fields are created. REQUIREMENTS • Altitude from the barometric altimeter of the Edge; gradient and climb detection need GPS or a speed sensor. • A power meter for the average climb power. NOTES • VAM, gradient and climb values are estimates based on barometer and distance. • The app has no internet permission. Settings and recovery data stay on the device. FIT values may be transferred to Garmin Connect through normal Garmin synchronisation, subject to Garmin settings and privacy terms.
