Made by Runima: https://runima.fit Race Predictor is a running data field that shows your predicted total race time while you run. If your sustained pace improves, the finish-time prediction moves earlier. If you slow down, it moves later. The value on your watch is your projected full race duration, not a countdown of time remaining or a time of day. The estimate combines your average pace so far with your recent progress over distance. It uses elapsed time, including stops, and filters implausible distance jumps. Once you reach the selected race distance, the displayed time stops changing. FEATURES - A single labeled value that fits into a standard Garmin activity data screen. - Live prediction that responds to sustained changes in pace. - A predicted race time chart and final prediction summary in Garmin Connect after syncing the activity. - Race distance presets from 1K through 100 miles, including 5K, 10K, half marathon, and marathon. - Custom distance entry in kilometers or miles. SETUP Add Race Predictor to a running activity data screen. In the field's Connect IQ settings, select your race distance before starting. For a custom distance, select Custom, enter a number such as 12.5, and choose kilometers or miles. Start the activity at the race start so its recorded distance and elapsed time match your race. The field shows a placeholder until it has enough progress to make an estimate. Race predictions are estimates. GPS distance errors, changes in effort, and conditions later in the race can affect the final result.
