ROVR draws your explorer tiles on your watch, with you in the middle and the map turning as you do. The tiles you've already explored are blue and the ones still waiting are gray. A new one turns green the moment you step into it, and your watch can buzz when it does. On foot the map zooms in to Microtiles and draws the streets around you; on a bike it shows Tiles. The count of new ones sits under the map. On a page with two fields the map becomes a strip, and in a smaller slot the field shows just the count. You need a free ROVR account at rovr.cc. It reads your activities from Strava, Ride with GPS or files you upload, so your map is ready before you head out. To set it up, add ROVR to a data page of an activity such as Run or Walk. Until it's paired, the field shows a code. Sign in at rovr.cc and type that code in Settings, under Garmin. Your tiles show up a few seconds later. The buzz and the tile size are under your watch in the same place, and a change reaches your wrist within two minutes, even halfway through a run. The field gets its tiles through Garmin Connect on your phone, and it keeps the last map on the watch in case you head out without the phone. Compatible with Strava.
