Clear walk/run data for your native Garmin multisport activity. Trail View Free is a DATA FIELD, not a standalone recording app. Add it to both the walking and running profiles used by your multisport. A full-page, one-field layout provides the complete dashboard. AT A GLANCE - Large active timer for the current multisport leg. - Current heart rate, pace and leg distance. - Leg ascent while walking or hiking; leg descent while running. - Clear green WALK and blue RUN labels. - Local comparison with your previous suitable leg, or the average of up to five recent legs of the same sport. - Light and dark backgrounds, following the native data-field background setting. YOUR USUAL GARMIN CONTROLS Trail View observes the actual sport. It does not take over the buttons or create its own activity recording. In a multisport configured to change sports with LAP, keep using LAP as usual. Pause, resume and save through Garmin's normal activity controls. LOCAL COMPARISONS The first suitable leg establishes a reference. A leg needs at least 60 active seconds and 100 metres, observed from its start. Negative comparison time means ahead; positive means behind. Use comparisons on the same route and in the same direction. They are approximate, distance-based estimates: Trail View does not recognise routes geographically. Similar-length routes can share a reference group. A leg with a substantially different length starts a new group for that sport. Local references are observations, separate from saved Garmin activities. Discarding an activity in Garmin does not undo a reference already learned by Trail View. COMPATIBILITY AND UNITS This release supports Garmin Enduro 4. English interface. Metric units: kilometres, minutes per kilometre and metres. In smaller field layouts, only the sport label and leg timer are shown. PRIVACY Reference data is stored locally on the watch. No account, developer server or internet connection is required. No data is sent to the developer. Garmin continues to handle your normal activity recording and synchronisation.
