Descrição
Truepace shows what your running pace is really worth. It works out the gradient from your own altitude and distance, applies the Minetti running-cost curve to turn it into grade-adjusted pace, and adds the slowdown that heat and humidity cause, using the temperature and dew point from your phone's weather. The result is one number: the pace you would be running on flat ground on a cool day for the same effort. On a small field you see just that effort pace, coloured by your goal band. On a half field it adds GAP, the heat penalty and how far ahead or behind your goal finish you are. As a full screen it becomes a dashboard with a ten-minute effort graph, gradient, heat, estimated running power without any sensor, and your projected finish. Effort pace, GAP and power are saved to the FIT file, so they appear as charts in Garmin Connect. WHAT IT DOES - Effort pace: grade-adjusted and heat-adjusted pace in one number - Grade-adjusted pace (GAP) from a smoothed 50 m gradient - Heat penalty from temperature plus dew point, or your own manual values - Treadmill mode that uses your incline setting - Running power estimate from your weight, speed and gradient, smooth and without a sensor - Projected finish time against your goal, with a fade for the distance still to go - Vibration and tone alert when your effort drifts outside your pace band (60 s cooldown) - Saved to FIT: effort pace, GAP and power per second, lap effort pace, session averages WHAT IT NEEDS - Set goal distance, goal time and pace band in the Connect IQ app (defaults: 10 km in 50:00, ±10 s) - Phone weather for automatic heat, or enter temperature and dew point yourself - How to add: start a run activity / Settings / Data Screens / choose a screen / edit a field / Connect IQ / Truepace. Then press BACK until you see the activity screen and scroll to that page. Until the activity has data it shows dashes (--).
