alphaHRV is a DataField that performs real time DFA analysis of heart rate variability (HRV) during your activity. It provides alpha1 parameter, showing its evolution during the last 2 min of the activity. In order to use this DataField a heart rate monitor that provides HRV measurements is required. As accuracy in alpha1 identification depends on quality of the measurements, it is strongly recommended to use Polar H9 or H10 monitors that have been validated by different authors using existing HRV analysis platforms. alphaHRV connects using BLE or Ant+ to the HR sensor. Follow these steps for connecting: If you want to use BLE mode - DELETE BLE sensor pairing with your device if previously exists (sensors menu in your device). - (Optional for dual BLE/Ant+ sensors) Connect the sensor to your device using ANT+ (sensors menu in your device). It will allow HR data to be included in fit file as native parameter. - Set BLE mode in alphaHRV settings (Garmin Connect app in your Android/iOS mobile or Garmin Express in PC/Mac). Use CLOSEST option when you pair first time a new sensor and change to LAST for further uses. If you want to use ANT+mode: - DELETE ANT+ sensor pairing with your device if previously exists (sensors menu in your device). - (Optional for dual BLE/Ant+ sensors) Connect the sensor to your device using BLE (sensors menu in your device). It will allow HR data to be included in fit file as native parameter. - Set ANT+ mode in alphaHRV settings (Garmin Connect app in your Android/iOS mobile or Garmin Express in PC/Mac). Use ANY (device number = 0), when you pair first time a new sensor and change to LAST or provide the sensor ID to keep same sensor for further connections. If communication protocol is changed, restart of the app is required Alpha1 value and graph are continuously shown just after collecting initial data. Following information is displayed: - Graphical alpha1 evolution during the last 2 min. Data is refreshed every second - Current alpha1 value - Current heart rate value - Current power value (a power meter connected to the device is required), pace or speed. - Battery level for the heart rate monitor alphaHRV is currently in beta phase. It will be free during this period, but a payment will be required for unlocking when release version is launched. DISCLAIMER.
