介绍
Kickwax tells you which kick wax, klister and glide wax to put on your cross-country skis, and it gets better every time you ski. It reads the temperature, humidity and precipitation from your phone's weather, looks at how the temperature moves over the hours you will be out, and adds how old the snow is. From that it works out an effective snow temperature and picks the wax class, with a second class to carry along when the day warms up or cools down. After each outing you say how the grip and glide felt: slipping, good or sticking; dragging, good or wet suction. Kickwax keeps a small correction per temperature band, so the advice shifts toward what works on your skis and your wax. Put your own wax box in the app and it names the product you actually own. Classic and skating both work, and without weather data you can enter the temperature and humidity yourself. WHAT IT DOES - Kick wax or klister class, plus glide wax class, on one arc scale per wax type - Temperature trend over your start time and duration (up to 12 hours ahead), with a wax to carry if the day changes - Snow type from snow age and the temperature history: fresh, settled, old, icy crust or wet - Learns from your grip and glide rating after every outing, per temperature band - Your own wax box: add products with their temperature range and it picks from those first - Reference codes in the Swix or Rode system, or colours only - History of rated outings, classic or skating mode, five languages, and a glance with today's wax WHAT IT NEEDS - Weather from the Garmin Connect app for automatic conditions, or manual temperature and humidity - Snow age in days since the last snowfall, entered by you
