CIQ 2019 Developer of the Year! Bringing back most of the features of the Pre CIQ watches (310xt/910xt) "Lap By Position" function. The AutoLap by Position functions can be found in my other Apps RunSafe+, BIkeSafe+ , InlineSkating+ and MotorSports+. Click the "More" link to expand this description page. This data field is a MUST for interval training on tracks or training on loops of nonstandard sizes. LapByPosition is the only data field that can lap by position and provide last lap time and distance and provide an accurate LAP count. INSTALL NOTES: 1.) If you update/install and you don't see the data field. Update or the install may require a restart of watch. 2.)Install instructions: From the clock watch face, long press menu button (touchscreen long press screen) “ACTIVITY” is the builtin-in that is desired to be set.(Run, Bike, Row, SUP or Swim) In the main menu select: Settings -Activities &Apps- “ACTIVITY”-“Activity” Settings -Data Screens Select first Screen: then Set Layout to the entire screen Set Field 1 to -ConnectIQ Fields-LapbyPosition Most watches are the same as described above, but there could be small differences. This data field uses your "GPS Start Position" as the autolap point. Every time you pass your start position the data field will auto lap and provide Last Lap Pace/Speed Distance and Time. In order to Auto Lap, YOU (your watch) must be within 15 meters of your starting position and must travel 40 meters from the starting position. This prevents false laps, and works perfectly on a standard 400m oval track. The algorithm is super accurate and average distance of the lap location is less than 2 meters. I exclusively use this data field for all of my interval/ repeat (loop type) training were I need to know my current lap pace, last lap information and laps counted. This will work for all Running and Cycle training and will provide accurate LAP counts for outdoor swimming. NOTE: This does not update your FIT file, by placing laps in your FIT File. At this time Garmin SDK doesn't not allow the recording functions in a data field.
