介绍
Dynamic Cadence is an advanced Garmin Data Field that calculates your ideal target cadence dynamically and in real time while running. The myth of a single universal 180 spm cadence does not apply to everyone—optimizing your stride rate depends on your unique body biomechanics, leg length, and running pace. Key Features: Real-Time Dynamic Calculation: Target cadence automatically adjusts whether you accelerate into interval sprints or slow down during recovery runs. Biomechanical Personalization (Height & Leg Length): Leverages a physical pendulum model. Shorter runners or those with shorter legs naturally use a higher stride rate, while taller runners run more efficiently at a lower cadence. You can input your total height or precise leg length for maximum accuracy. Color-Coded Feedback: The display changes background color so you can check your status at a glance: Green: Optimal target zone (±5 spm from target). Red: Cadence is below target (overstriding / heavy landing impact). Purple: Cadence is above the target zone. Garmin Connect Charts & Session Analytics: Records a target cadence graph throughout your activity and saves detailed session statistics (percentage of time and average pace spent in each color zone) directly to your Garmin Connect activity summary. Maximum Readability: Large, clear numbers designed for instant legibility on any display size and screen layout (1 to 8 data fields). Practical Target Cadence Examples (Default Height Model): 150 cm runner: at 6:00 pace = 174 spm | at 4:00 pace = 188 spm 175 cm runner: at 6:00 pace = 165 spm | at 4:00 pace = 179 spm 190 cm runner: at 6:00 pace = 159 spm | at 4:00 pace = 173 spm Setup & Measurement Guide: Configure the app settings via the Garmin Connect mobile app (IQ Apps section): Leg Length / Inseam (cm): Enter your inner leg length for the most precise biomechanical calculation. Runner Height (cm): Used if leg length is set to 0. Smart Fallback: If left unconfigured, the app automatically reads the height stored in your Garmin user profile. How to accurately measure your Leg Length (Inseam): Measure barefoot: Running shoes add artificial stack height that compresses and vanishes during dynamic foot impact. Positioning: Stand with your back flat against a wall, feet shoulder-width apart. Measurement: Place a hardcover book between your legs and pull it firmly up against your crotch (simulating hip joint height). Measure the vertical distance from the top edge of the book straight down to the floor.
更新内容
2.1 Added support for new devices: Fenix 9, Enduro 4, atc. 2.0 Custom Biomechanical Calculation (Leg Length): Added an optional setting for leg length (Leg Length / Inseam). Target cadence calculation now uses a physical pendulum model—providing a unique, tailored target cadence for runners of the same height who have different leg lengths. Automatic Fallback: If you do not enter a leg length (leave it set to 0), the app automatically falls back to calculating target cadence using total height from your Garmin profile. Enhanced Graphs & FIT Statistics: Real-time target cadence graph and detailed pace statistics for each color-coded zone directly in your Garmin Connect activity summary. 1.7.1 adding new devices and removing monochrome devices 1.6 add connect info stats and graph 1.5 small fix 1.0 release
