Roadbook for trail races and mountain routes: one screen shows the next point on your route and the real climb left to reach it. • Next point: name, distance, and the ascent and descent left to reach it. • List of the next points (2 on watches, as many as fit on Edge), with distance and the ascent and descent of each leg. • Icons by point type: start, summit, pass, hut, life base, aid station, water, danger, turn and finish. • Leg time and, in races, the target, in red if you go over it. • Next to the climb, vertical speed. On the bike, climbing, the VAM of the leg. Running, you choose: vertical speed, GAP (grade-adjusted pace, shown as RAP), both alternating, or nothing. • Cut-off times: 30 minutes before a point's cut-off its name turns amber, red at 10, and the time left shows at the bottom. • Nutrition: countdown to the next intake and, when it's due, vibration, a beep and a full-screen alert with what to take and the grams of carbs. • At the bottom, the track name and the status: «Listo» (ready) before you start if all is well, or a warning for no GPS, no track or off course. The screen texts are in Spanish. Settings in Garmin Connect Background colour (same as the activity, white or black), top time (leg, total or nothing), cut-off warnings, data next to the climb, nutrition reminders and how long the intake alert stays on screen (10, 20 or 30 s). How it works 1. Create your RankHub account and upload the route GPX (with points as waypoints). RankHub works out the km and the climb between points. 2. Copy your personal key (8 letters and numbers) and enter it in the data field settings in Garmin Connect. 3. Open the activity with your phone nearby and the watch checks the roadbook you marked as current. Switch routes from the web without touching the watch. Meanwhile you see the last saved roadbook and, at the bottom, the status of the check and the GPS, so you can decide whether to start without waiting. Once you press START, the roadbook stays fixed. You can also paste a roadbook by hand in the settings, with no key and no connection. Without a roadbook it works in native mode with what the watch provides while navigating a course: next point, distance and net elevation. Requirements • 1-field data screen (full screen). • Phone with Garmin Connect for the download. Garmin allows one check every 5 minutes: if you have to wait, you'll see the countdown. • With no connection, it uses the last roadbook downloaded.
