Recon Tactical PRO is a tactical instrument cut into panels around a big clock: up to three segments above it and three below, a flank on either side, and a working rim. Every segment shows as much as its size holds. A full panel carries the value, a trace of the last hours and up to six readings; a half or a third keeps the value, its graph and the readings that fit. SEGMENTS One, two or three segments above the clock and below it, each a choice of 88 metrics. Body: heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate zone, Body Battery, stress, SpO2, respiration, sleep score, recovery, VO2 max. Activity: steps, floors, distance, calories, intensity minutes, the move bar, race predictions, activity totals. Outdoors: temperature, weather, wind, UV, rain in the next hour, sunrise and sunset, a second time zone, and more. Each segment takes its own colour and its own goal, or follows your watch's goal. Press and hold a segment to open that metric on the watch. THE FLANKS AND THE RIM Beside the clock, each flank holds the date, the seconds or any metric. The date stacks one part a line, from the day alone to the weekday, month and week number or day of the year, named in your watch language or in English. The outer rim fills each segment's run toward its goal, sweeps the seconds, shows today's daylight on a 24-hour scale from your synced location, or switches off. TRACES AND HISTORY Heart rate, Body Battery, stress, SpO2, temperature, elevation and pressure draw a trace of the last hours, in six styles: area, line, bars, stepped, gradient or pulse. The weather shows its forecast, and steps, floors, distance and intensity minutes their week. THEMES Instrument, Night Ops, Stealth, Arctic, Ranger, Signal, Desert, Hazard, Cobalt, Titanium, Red Ops and Amber Ops each recolour the whole face, and a night theme can take over from sunset to sunrise. The panels wear a carbon, brushed, guilloche or grid finish, or none. The Custom theme is your own, built from colours you pick. THE CLOCK Solid, two-tone or split, in white, the theme or any of forty colours. Seven clock formats in 12 or 24 hour, with a colon or a dot. STATUS AND BATTERY Do not disturb, the phone connection, the alarm and notifications sit in fixed places, lit when on, with the unread count. The battery shows as a cell bar with its percentage or the days left, coloured by charge or by the theme. ALWAYS ON The always-on display is burn-in safe. It shows the clock in three sizes and four brightness levels, the date and battery if you want them, and your chosen status cues. Its clock can match the dial, stay neutral, follow the theme or take any of forty colours. SETTINGS Everything above is in the watch face settings in the Garmin Connect IQ app, in 18 languages. Most of it can also be set on the watch itself. Pick any of 760 colours on a colour wheel for every colour setting, including the colours of your own theme.

Weekly step and floor charts now show your daily goal as a line, and days you met it stand out. Segments show more: minutes in each heart rate zone, Body Battery charged and drained, and the sun's day as an arc. Pick the always-on clock colour from the colour wheel on your watch. Fix: a reading too wide for its segment, such as pressure, now fits inside it. Fix: press and hold now opens the metric you pressed. V1.0.2 - New Custom theme: build your own from colours you pick. Segment titles can now be switched on or off. A segment with a single reading, such as sunrise or the day's heart rate high, now shows it much larger. The top side segments now show their value on the wide row beside the clock. Goal fills start a second lap once you pass your goal. New Rain next hour readout: the chance of rain in the coming hour. Customise it on your watch: theme previews on the face and 760 colours on a colour wheel for every colour setting. Fix: the always-on goal rim no longer clips at the edge. Improved battery performance.
