THIS IS A WIDGET APPLICATION. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A SIMILAR APPLICATION THAT LAUNCHED FROM THE ACTIVITIES WINDOW, YOU CAN FIND IT IN MY APPLICATIONS LIST. I present to you a weather application that offers a choice of using the weather from the Garmin server, or from the OpenWeatherMap service. The application logic implies the presence of three windows: • current weather window • window of extended information and forecast for three days ahead • window with graph (switchable) 1. The first window offers a visual representation of the current weather. The time of day, the season of the year, and even the phase of the moon are taken into account. This window will show the weather in real time as one of more than 80 rendered conditions with rain / snow / thunderstorm animations and varying degrees of cloudiness. The sun and moon move in an arc in accordance with the time of day and the calculated times of sunrise and sunset. Try the app and watch the weather with aesthetic pleasure. 2. The second window shows extended information about the current weather, including information about temperature (perceived temperature too) and humidity, as well as a forecast for three days ahead with a visual pictogram. 3. The third window so far only shows the pressure graph for a given time period. Please note that some watch models limit the information displayed to only 6 hours. Alas, if Garmin has set such a limitation for your watch model, then the developer cannot do anything about it. This window can be disabled in the settings. So, if your watch does not support Garmin weather or you want to use the OpenWeatherMap service as a weather source, then you need to get an API key. It is free and can be obtained by following these instructions: How to create an OpenWeatherMap API Key? You can get it for free following next steps : • Visit https://openweathermap.org/ and Sign In. • Connect with created identifiers. • Visit https://home.openweathermap.org/api_keys. • Copy the key which looks like : 8ac1d869b9761699ef842254f60be8d0 (this one is inactive). • Paste copied API key to the relevant field, in the app's settings.
