Beschreibung
A data field for Birkebeinerrennet, the 53 km ski race from Rena to Lillehammer. Add it to a data screen in your cross-country ski activity and on race day it tells you how far it is to the next station and when you'll be there. On the screen: • Distance and name of the next station, like "5.5 km TO Kvarstad". • Arrival time. Worked out from your speed over the last 10 km, with 10 minutes added for each staffed depot on the way. • Time in hand before the next cut-off. +1:40 h is an hour and forty minutes to spare. If you're behind, the row is drawn inverted. • Metres of climbing ahead. You can turn this off. • With the field alone on a screen you also get the course outline, a dot for you and the finished part greyed out. Progress is GPS based. Your position is matched to the course line, so starting the activity late or skiing to the start doesn't confuse it. If you're more than 1 km from the line, or the race has no line, it uses the activity distance. Race: Birkebeinerrennet 2027 (20 March), with the course line, the stations from Skramstadsætra to Sjusjøen and their cut-off times. Auto mode switches to the race on race day when you're near the start. Or set it in the field settings in the Connect IQ app. Small watches show numbers and text only. A data field there gets 32 KB of memory. The course line doesn't fit in that, so these watches go by activity distance and leave out the outline and the climb. Text-only models: Instinct 2, 3 and E. Forerunner 55, 245, 645 and 935. fēnix 5 and 6 (not Pro). Venu and Venu Sq. vívoactive 3 and 4. Edge 130. Plus a few older ones. Privacy: the position comes from your activity and stays on the device. It needs no extra permissions and sends nothing. The field shows its text in English, or in Swedish on a watch set to Swedish. Data: stations, services and cut-off times from birken.no, checked October 2026 (2027 start times are provisional). Course lines from OpenStreetMap data, © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL). Elevation from EU-DEM (Copernicus) and SRTM. Unofficial. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Birkebeinerrennet.
Neuigkeiten
Round watches, field alone on a screen: the ARRIVE row no longer disappears when the course outline sits low, and a long cut-off name gets its own line instead of being dropped.
