Guide and changelog: https://www.petrrezek.net/en/garmin/namedays-pl/#guide Support development: https://buymeacoffee.com/petrrezek Type the names you care about and the watch reminds you the day BEFORE their imieniny — while there is still time for flowers. Plus the full Polish name-day calendar on your wrist, with no phone and no internet. MY NAMES • Type the names of the people close to you in Garmin Connect, separated by commas — e.g. Anna, Piotr, Aleksander. • The watch lists them by whose imieniny comes first — today in a pill, tomorrow outlined, the rest with a countdown. • A separate alert with its own switch and its own time. It arrives the day before; on the day itself it is late for flowers. • A name the Polish calendar does not know stays in the list marked with an exclamation mark, so a typo is visible instead of silent. • Birthdays and anniversaries in a second field ("Mum 12/3, Wedding 5/6") join the same list and the same alert. • The glance tells you when someone from your list has imieniny tomorrow. AND THE REST • Glance: today's and tomorrow's imieniny right in the glance list; a colour stripe shows whether today is an ordinary name day or a public holiday. • Main screen: the name(s) of the day on their own card, tomorrow on a quiet line below; Polish public holidays (Trzech Króli, Wielkanoc, Boże Ciało, Wigilia and the rest, including the moveable Easter feasts) carry a badge with the holiday name. • Full-year list: scroll the whole year, jump to a month, or search a name — case- and diacritics-insensitive ("kuba" finds Kuba, "gorzata" finds Małgorzata). • Daily alert: an optional reminder at a time you choose, telling you whose imieniny it is today. • Special days: Dzień Babci, Dzień Dziadka, Dzień Matki, Dzień Ojca, Walentynki, Dzień Kobiet, Mikołajki and the clock changes, with an optional alert the evening before. • Settings on the watch as well as in Garmin Connect — one set of settings, not two copies. • Polish and English interface. 111 supported watches.
Neuigkeiten
1.0.2 - 2026-09-18 - Long names and holiday names no longer end in an ellipsis: when they don't fit the screen, they slowly scroll so you can read them in full. This works on today's screen, for the highlighted day in the year list and in My names. 1.0.1 - 2026-09-17 - The My names and Birthdays and anniversaries fields now hold 500 characters instead of 150. Older watches with less memory (fēnix 5 and 6 series, first-generation MARQ, Forerunner 245 Music, 745 and 945, Descent Mk1 and Mk2, D2 Delta, enduro, Instinct E and Instinct 3 Solar 45 mm) stay at 150. - Fixed: on those older watches the glance could crash when both fields were well filled. 1.0 - 2026-09-13 - First release: full Polish imieniny calendar for every day of the year (mainstream "kartka z kalendarza" set, 2-4 names a day). - My names: track the people close to you and get reminded the day before their imieniny, plus birthdays and anniversaries in a second field. - Glance with today's and tomorrow's imieniny, colour-coded for public holidays. - Full-year list with month jump and diacritics-insensitive name search. - Polish public holidays (incl. Wigilia and the moveable Easter feasts) and special days (Dzień Babci, Dzień Dziadka, Dzień Matki, Dzień Ojca, Walentynki, Dzień Kobiet, Mikołajki, clock changes). - Daily alert at a time you choose; the special-day alert comes the evening before, at the My names time. - Polish and English interface. 111 supported watches.
