There are 4 fields, which every field can set with many options. All fields can be filled with an additional alternative option - on Edge 1040 and 1050 to switch with tap. In this field you put the EdgeMapsFields. If Edge temperature is chosen and a Tempe Sensor is connected to the Edge (possible with x40 devices and maybe Explore2), then the Tempe Sensor temperature is shown. You can correct the Edge/Tempe temperature in settings by chosing an offset. Alternative option for all 4 data fields: you can set an alternative option for each data field in the settings. On newer devices like the Edge 1040 this alternative data field can be displayed by tapping on it. (Tested on the Edge 1040). I assume this is also possible on the Edge 840 (not tested - I don't have this device). On older Edge devices such as the Edge 1030 series (and I assume 830), no tap event on the map page data field is possible - even though these devices have a touchscreen. On non-touchscreen devices and 1030 series, the alternate data field changes every 10 seconds. If you don't want this, just don't define an alternative data field in setup! Time to Destination and ETA are calculated by your average speed. In the beginning - when no average speed is available - Time to Dest and ETA are calculated by 10 km/h ( 6.214 mi/h). Timer format is mm:ss if time is less than 1 hour, h:mm if time is more than 1 hour. For mechanical shifters in setup you have to set: -rear wheel circumference in cm -teeth of chainring - only one chainring! -teeth of cogwheels from smallest to biggest All values are separated by a semicolon. For my 29" Mountainbike with 30 teeth chainring and SRAM Eagle 12 gears: 220; 30; 10; 12; 14; 16; 18; 21; 24; 28; 32; 36; 42; 50; Although the program checks the string for plausibility during the evaluation, it is important to enter this series of numbers correctly and not to forget the separating semicolons ";" ! If an error occurred during evaluation of the string, the index 99 is shown on the display. For a meaningful display of the shift index for mechanical shifting, a speed sensor must be used and the wheel circumference must be set manual!
