Description
Rolla counts your wheelchair pushes from the watch on your wrist and turns them into a real activity: pushes, push rate, distance per push, slope, effort and energy. It is made for the Forerunner, fēnix, Instinct and other watches that have no wheelchair mode of their own, and it works just as well on the ones that do. Pick everyday wheeling, wheelchair sport with intervals, or handbike. Rolla learns your push with a ten-push calibration, keeps a daily push goal instead of steps, and can remind you to shift your weight every 15 to 60 minutes while it is open. Energy is estimated from heart rate with an arm-work correction, or from speed, slope and the weight of you and your chair, with an adjustable resting burn because the standard formula often runs high for wheelchair users. WHAT IT DOES - Push counting from the wrist accelerometer with an adaptive threshold and a ten-push calibration - Push rate per minute, steadiness, and distance per push; cadence in rpm on the handbike - Slope from the barometer, estimated effort in watts and the flat-ground speed that costs the same - Active and total calories from heart rate or from speed and slope, with adjustable resting burn and chair weight - Daily push goal with a ring, 7-day history and your last session - Pressure-relief reminder every 15-60 minutes during a session - Interval training with work and rest phases, pushes per interval and laps - Saves to Garmin Connect as a wheelchair or handcycling activity where the watch supports it, with pushes and push rate as extra fields - Five languages, metric or imperial, and a glance with today's pushes WHAT IT NEEDS - A watch with an accelerometer; GPS for sport and handbike sessions - Pushes are counted while Rolla is open; it does not count in the background - Rolla gives estimates for training and daily awareness, it is not a medical device
