Description

A weekday siddur for your Garmin watch — Nusach Ashkenaz, with full nekudos in a clear, traditional Hebrew typeface. Please review and comment! All feedback appreciated for improvements. Looking for Nusach Edot HaMizrach? Go to: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/547c6cd5-b2d7-4537-8be3-6323eb7d1066 WHAT'S INSIDE • Mincha and Maariv • Birkas Hamazon, Al Hamichya and Borei Nefashos • Asher Yatzar and Tefilas Haderech • Tehillim: kapitlach 20, 23, 121 and 130 • Zmanim, plus Shabbos and Yom Tov times ALWAYS THE RIGHT TEXT FOR TODAY The watch works out the Hebrew date itself, with no phone or internet needed, and the day changes at sunset where you are. Each page shows exactly what's said today: • Yaaleh Veyavo, Al Hanisim, and the Aseres Yemei Teshuvah changes • Mashiv haruach / morid hatal and v'sein tal umatar, shown in bold for the first 30 days after each change • Aneinu and Nachem on fast days, and Ata Chonantanu on motzei Shabbos and Yom Tov • Tonight's Sefiras HaOmer count, built into Maariv • LeDovid from Rosh Chodesh Elul until Hoshana Rabba • Tachanun left out on the right days, with a short note saying why The home screen shows today's Hebrew date, along with Rosh Chodesh, fast days, Chanukah, Yom Tov and other special days. ZMANIM Alos, netz, sof zman Shema (MGA and GRA), sof zman tefila, chatzos, mincha gedola and ketana, plag, shkia and tzeis, calculated from your watch's location. The Shabbos and Yom Tov screen gives candle lighting for each evening (18, 20, 30 or 40 minutes before sunset, your choice, or after tzeis on a second night of Yom Tov), when it ends, and Rabbeinu Tam. In Settings you can choose In Israel, Outside Israel, or Automatic (by GPS), which sets one or two days of Yom Tov, morid hatal, v'sein tal umatar and the other Israel differences. MADE FOR THE WATCH • Scroll with your finger or the buttons • Kedushah, Modim DeRabbonon, Zimun and similar parts fold away behind a button, so you only open what you need • Press and hold anywhere to jump to any section. Kedushah and Modim DeRabbonon open as soon as you land on them. • Kaddish can be shown in full, in small text, behind a button, or hidden • Menus appear in Hebrew when your watch is set to Hebrew • Hashem's names are written in the customary substitute forms PRIVACY Your location is used only on the watch, to calculate zmanim. Nothing is sent anywhere.
