Sensors are files: "cat /dev/baro" reads the barometer, "cat /proc/sensors" takes every sensor at once, and everything composes the way a shell composes — pipes, grep, sample, stats, redirection into files that survive a restart, and scripts written on the watch itself from the same character wheel the prompt uses. FREE AND COMPLETE Installing is free and the shell is complete without a licence: every sensor, every file, every pipe, every script. There is no trial timer, because the free half is the judgement — it is a whole tool, not a crippled one. WHAT THE LICENCE BUYS Sending. Post, queue, sync and harvest, to a hub you run over trusted HTTPS. Three connection profiles hold a base URL, a path, a body format and an auth mode — Bearer, API key or Basic — and the format is whatever your hub speaks: CubioShell's own envelope, named records for Node-RED and friends, or ThingsBoard telemetry. Batches carry a sequence number and stay spooled until they are acknowledged, so a dropped connection costs nothing. Harvesting delivers what the watch recorded while the app was shut, on a background wake. A GENERAL TOOL For whatever measures: a room, a machine, a boat, a greenhouse, a flight. It knows nothing about any of them, which is the point. REQUIREMENTS A phone running Garmin Connect for anything that leaves the watch, and an endpoint to receive the readings — your own hub, Node-RED, ThingsBoard, or any host reachable over trusted HTTPS. Reading the watch itself needs neither, and is free. THE LICENCE Entering the code once, online, ties it to this watch, and everything runs offline after that. No account, no subscription.
