Wind Rose – Wind Compass for Cyclists Wind Rose is a data field that acts as a real-time wind compass, helping cyclists understand wind direction and conditions relative to their movement. It combines live weather data with your current heading to provide a clear and intuitive view of how wind affects your ride. The app uses GPS and device sensors to determine your direction and displays wind orientation accordingly, making it easy to recognize headwinds, tailwinds, and crosswinds while riding or standing still. Wind data is enhanced using a small grid of multiple nearby points (approx. 3 km spacing) to improve accuracy and better reflect local conditions. The app automatically selects the closest data point to your current position. In addition to wind direction, Wind Rose provides: Current wind speed and gusts Actual temperature and feels-like temperature Short-term weather forecast for up to 5 hours ahead Weather data is sourced from Open-Meteo and is updated regularly every 5 minutes to ensure fresh and relevant information during your ride.
