Description
Bonkline is a data field that keeps a live estimate of your carbohydrate tank during any endurance activity. It works out how many carbs you burn at your current heart rate, adds what you have eaten once your gut has absorbed it, and tells you how long you have before the tank runs low and when to eat next. When it is time to eat, the watch vibrates, beeps and shows a full-screen reminder with the portion to take. Tap the field (touch devices) or press the lap button (optional setting) to log what you ate. The alerts have a cooldown, so they never fire every second, and there are no ads or donation pop-ups. WHAT IT DOES - Carbohydrate tank in % with a time-to-bonk estimate at your current intensity - Carb burn from calories and heart-rate intensity, so an easy spin and a hard climb count differently - Intake with an absorption delay and a gut limit (60, 90 or 120 g/h) - Eat-now alert when the tank will drop below your threshold within 20 minutes, or when your eating interval is up - Grams per hour against your target - Full-screen view with the tank curve, a projection for the next hour and marks for every portion eaten - Adapts to every field size, from a single number to a full dashboard, on dark and light backgrounds - Tank %, total carbs, carbs per lap and lowest tank are saved to the activity and shown in Garmin Connect - Settings for portion size, target, interval, threshold, carb loading, weight and more; five languages WHAT IT NEEDS - Heart rate for the intensity estimate; weight, age and resting heart rate are read from your Garmin profile - How to add: start an activity, open Settings / Data Screens, pick a screen, select a field and choose Connect IQ / Bonkline. Then press BACK until you see the activity screen and scroll to that page. Until the activity has data it shows dashes (--). - The numbers are an estimate to help plan your fuelling, not a measurement
