Description
WHAT IT DOES - Buzzes at each gel's moment and names that gel on the field, REGULAR or CAFFEINATED, for 20 seconds, so you know which one to take. - Counts down to the next gel - Shows Done once no gel is left, and -- before the run starts or with no schedule. - Raises the platform's data field alert where the firmware presents one, including how many minutes into the run the gel fired. REPEATING GELS - Every gel can repeat. Set a period in minutes and the gel is announced at its offset, then at offset plus the period, again and again for the rest of the run. - A repeating gel never runs out, so a gel every 30 minutes can be set up as a single entry - Recurrence is off by default. Set it while you add a gel, or later from that gel's own menu. SET UP ON THE WATCH - Open the field's settings from the activity menu. No phone required. - Add a gel: minute offset from the beginning of the activity, regular or caffeinated, and how often it repeats. - Change a gel's time, its type or its period, or delete it. Up to 50 gels. BUILT FOR A RUN - Offsets are absolute minutes from the start of the run, and paused time counts, so a gel is never postponed by a stop. - One alert per update, earliest first. A gel whose moment passed while the field was off screen catches up on the next update instead of stacking alerts. - Starting a new run clears the announced state, so every gel is due again. - The schedule is stored on the device and survives restarts. No phone app, no account, no network access. HONEST LIMITS - It never records, uploads or changes your activity. The native activity keeps doing that, and this app asks only for the alert permission. - A data field cannot bring itself to the screen, so keep it on a data screen you actually watch. - Some firmware does not present the data field alert view. The field names the gel on screen for 20 seconds for exactly that reason. - No sound: one long vibration, on devices that vibrate.
What's New
The gel's name now stays on screen through the whole minute that follows it, so a runner who looks down late still sees which gel was due. The first flash names the gel that is due, REGULAR or CAFFEINATED; the ones after it read Last: REGULAR or Last: CAFFEINATED, marking the gel as already taken.
