Description
Waymark tells you when you will really arrive on a hilly route. Instead of dividing the distance by your current speed, it uses the Alpine club walking-time formula that counts every metre of climbing and descending, and it learns your own flat, uphill and downhill pace while you move. Breaks and a gradual slowdown over a long day are taken into account. Add your aid stations and cut-offs and the field shows the arrival time at the next station and how much buffer you have on its cut-off, in green, orange or red. It also works out civil dusk at your position and tells you whether you finish before dark. The full-screen view adds a route bar with your altitude profile, the stations and the point where it gets dark. WHAT IT DOES - Arrival time at the finish that accounts for the climbing and descending still ahead - Learns your own pace on flat, uphill and downhill sections during the activity - Next aid station: arrival time and buffer on its cut-off, plus a finish cut-off - Minutes of daylight left at arrival, with an alert if you will finish after dark - Alert when your buffer on a cut-off drops below your limit - Adapts to every field size: small, half screen and a full-screen dashboard - Saves time left, cut-off buffer, predicted finish and pace index to your activity file - Modes for hiking, trail running and gravel/MTB, or your own speeds WHAT IT NEEDS - A course on the device, or the total distance and ascent in the settings - Aid stations and cut-offs are optional, set in the Garmin Connect app - How to add: start the activity, open Settings / Data Screens, pick a field and choose Connect IQ / Waymark. Then press BACK until you see the activity screen and scroll to that page. Until the activity has data it shows dashes (--). - On older and smaller watches with little memory, daylight and the graphs are not available
