Description
WaySense is a data field that shows your estimated time of arrival (ETA), and tells you whether you'll arrive before dark or in the rain. For hiking, trail running, running, walking and trekking. How to add WaySense to an activity from Garmin Connect: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xt60Kjf_AnI The arrival time is based on your pace while you're moving, so a stop or a change of pace recalculates it automatically. On hikes it also allows for the time you usually spend stopped, to show when you'll arrive more accurately. The Course setting has three modes: - Auto: the loaded course if there is one, otherwise out-and-back. - GPX: only the loaded course, or one calculated from a route. - Distance: you enter the distance of the outing, on the watch or in Garmin Connect. The watch works out sunset and nightfall itself from your position. The progress bar shows how far you've come and the part of the course you'll cover in the dark or in the rain. If the sun sets before you arrive, a small orange mark shows sunset on the bar, and the bar gets darker as night falls. The bottom of the screen gives you the most important information to keep in mind. With no course and no distance entered, WaySense gives you the time to turn around to be back before dark. Good to know - With a course, the arrival time needs navigation to be started. - On the watch, the distance is set on two lines: kilometres one at a time, then tenths. - Some Forerunner, Venu and vívoactive watches don't provide the distance to the end of a course. WaySense then uses the distance you entered, or works out-and-back with a turnaround time. - Rain comes from the forecast your watch gets through your phone. - WaySense helps you decide. It isn't a safety device. No account, and no personal data collected. Two free trial activities: a one-off purchase, no subscription. Refunded if WaySense doesn't work on your watch: email lionel@lsitech.fr within 14 days of purchase. Settings on the watch or in the Garmin Connect app. In English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
