Description
WeatherCheckField displays real-time wind direction, wind force (Beaufort), temperature and chance of rain as a data field on your Garmin Edge or sports watch. A large arrow in the center points to where the wind is coming from — automatically rotated based on your riding direction, so you can instantly see whether you're facing a headwind or tailwind. Data is refreshed every 60 seconds based on your GPS location. Perfect for cyclists who want to keep an eye on the weather during their ride. Data via Open-Meteo API.
What's New
- Wind data now preferably comes from Garmin to better match the weather information on your device. - Automatic fallback to Open-Meteo when Garmin wind data is unavailable, invalid or outdated. - A source indicator shows the active wind provider: G for Garmin and OM for Open-Meteo. - New setting to use Open-Meteo exclusively for wind data. - Open-Meteo data is only requested once a valid GPS location is available. - Missing wind data is clearly indicated with dashes and no wind arrow.
