How do I install a Garmin watch face or app?

Install Garmin watch faces and apps with Garmin's official Connect IQ Store app. Select your paired device, find compatible content, select Install, review requested permissions, and sync the watch. GarminHub helps you discover listings; it does not install software. Garmin's installation instructions explain that selected content enters a sync queue.

First-day setup checklist

  1. Pair the watch with your phone using the instructions for your model, and complete any offered software updates.
  2. Open the Connect IQ Store app. Check the selected watch under My Device; compatibility depends on that device.
  3. Choose one compatible watch face or app. Read its description, price information, and permissions before installing.
  4. Select Install and confirm permissions if prompted. Sync with Garmin Connect or Garmin Express to complete the queued installation.
  5. On a Forerunner 265, hold UP from the watch face, select Watch Face, preview the installed face, and select START then Apply. Other models can use different menus; consult their manual.

Why is an app missing or not installing?

Check that the Connect IQ Store has the correct device selected. Garmin notes that not all Connect IQ features work on every device, and app capacity varies by model. Under My Device, inspect installed apps and remaining space. If an installation is queued, sync the device before trying again.

Does a free listing include every feature?
