Default is 5 - Weather description field customizations. - Battery % field customizations: choose from battery %, week number or second time zone. *API KEY INSTRUCTIONS* 1. Go to openweathermap.org and open a FREE account. Go to API Keys tab - Current Weather Data - Subscribe - FREE plan - Get API key. 2. Generate a new key. Some people report that default key didn't work for them. 3. Paste this 32-digit key in Chariot B-Shock app settings via Garmin Connect app on your phone. It's the first option in this watch face settings. 4. If you see a message WAITING FOR LOCATION - step outside and start an activity. Once GPS turns green, switch back to the watch face - your location will be updated. You'll only need to do it once. If your watch is able to get location from your phone: allow Garmin Connect app access to your location and run in the background. 5. If you see WAITING FOR WEATHER or don't see weather description - open Garmin Connect app on your phone and sync with your watch. You'll get weather with the next weather update. 6. If you see KEY INVALID OR INACTIVE - check if you've pasted the key right. Give them two hours to activate it, or generate a new one. 7. Garmin Connect (NOT Connect IQ) app must be allowed to run in the background on your phone. It's a proxy for weather requests. DO NOT subscribe for paid plans on OpenWeatherMap. IF YOU CHANGE YOUR TEMP UNITS in your watch Settings/System/Units then you'll need to wait for for the next weather update. WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN J-SHOCK AND B-SHOCK? J-Shock uses Garmin’s weather, doesn’t run any background processes, doesn’t need any permissions, doesn't use watch GPS sensors to get your location, no weather API keys, but it’s not compatible with devices that don’t support new Garmin weather functionality. B-Shock uses OpenWeatherMap.org as a weather source, has sunrise/sunset times, but also needs permission to your location and background processing, requires API keys for the weather. It’s for those devices that don't support Garmin weather, or for those people that prefer a different weather source.
