OPENWEATHERMAP SETUP (optional — for UV, Wind, Humidity, Air Quality, Location) Uses One Call API 3.0 ("One Call by Call" plan). Important: OpenWeather requires a payment card when subscribing, BUT you will NOT be charged as long as you stay within the free tier of 1,000 calls/day — more than enough at any interval. To be 100% safe, set a daily call limit in your OpenWeather account. 1. Create a free account at https://openweathermap.org 2. Subscribe to "One Call by Call" at https://openweathermap.org/price 3. Recommended: set "Calls per day (no more than)" to 1,000 in Billing plans. 4. Copy your key from "API Keys" (may take a couple of hours to activate). 5. In Garmin Connect IQ app, open the watch face settings. 6. Paste the key into "Your OpenWeatherMap API Key". 7. Set update interval (10, 15, 20, 30, 45, or 60 min). If you prefer not to use OWM, set Band Info to "Garmin Weather" — native description straight from Garmin, no account or key required. GPS COORDINATES Weather, Sun Events, and Sun Bar require GPS coordinates, obtained automatically from an active GPS activity or from Garmin Weather (your phone's position). If unavailable, open any GPS activity, wait for GPS lock, then stop it. The watch face reuses the last known position. COLORS All colors customizable via hex codes. Background, Foreground, Hours, Minutes, Seconds, Date, Icons, Solar, Moon, Band Foreground, Field 1/6 Background, and all 6 Progress Bars (fill + empty). Tip: use black on AMOLED to save battery. SECONDARY TIME ZONE UTC -12 to +12 with optional +30 min shift for half-hour zones (e.g., India UTC+5:30).
