Description
Your wrist, now a radar station. The world is drawn in glowing dots, and you are the signal at the centre. Raise your wrist and a ping leaves your position, sweeping across the land until it hits the edge of the screen. Chunky pixel digits keep the time readable at a glance. Wherever you go, the map follows, re-centring on your last GPS fix or your phone's location. On AMOLED screens, always-on mode dims to a faint glow of the land around you, built to protect the display. Built for Instinct: a zoomed-out world map, a sonar sweep that keeps running even in low power, the time clear of the eye, and your heart rate inside the eye. Your coordinates and their source (GPS, phone, saved or time zone) sit under the date. Phosphor green or clean white on colour watches. Location permission: the face only reads the last position your watch already knows (from an activity or your phone). It never switches the GPS on, so it costs no extra battery. Your position stays on the watch and is never sent anywhere. Time. Place. Ping.
