Description
A watch face for those who think in ones and zeros. Most "binary" watches cheat — they display each decimal digit in binary separately (BCD). TrueBinary doesn't. The entire day is divided into 65 536 equal parts and displayed as a single 16-bit binary number, spread across 16 hexagons in a honeycomb grid. Each hexagon is one bit. Together they count continuously from 0000000000000000 at midnight to 1111111111111111 just before midnight — true binary, no shortcuts. What each bit represents: - 2¹⁵ = 12 h (half a day) - 2¹⁴ = 6 h (quarter day) - 2¹³ = 3 h - 2¹² = 1 h 30 min - 2¹¹ = 45 min - 2¹⁰ = 22 min 30 s - 2⁹ = 11 min 15 s - 2⁸ = 5 min 37.5 s - 2⁷ = 2 min 48.75 s - 2⁶ = 1 min 24.4 s - 2⁵ = 42.2 s - 2⁴ = 21.1 s - 2³ = 10.5 s - 2² = 5.3 s - 2¹ = 2.6 s - 2⁰ = 1.3 s The display also shows: - Day of year in hexadecimal (e.g. day 100 = 64) - hh:mm in small text at the bottom (optional, toggle in settings) Customize the on-color, off-color, date color, and background color in the Garmin Connect app. A watch face for the mathematically curious — and those who enjoy a challenge at a glance.
