Description
WRIST_TERMINAL turns your Garmin watch into a tiny terminal on your wrist: glowing phosphor on deep black, crisp monospace digits and subtle analog imperfections. Raise your wrist and a short boot sequence plays (1.2 s by default): the phosphor fades up, a command line types itself and the time is fully readable within half a second. Then a calm, highly legible face remains. • 3 colour presets: Green Phosphor, Amber Mainframe, Ice Cyan – or your own colours • Centered or left-aligned terminal layout, 3 time sizes • 4 configurable data fields: battery, heart rate, steps, calories, distance, floors, Body Battery, stress • Date in several formats, English or German • CRT effects, each adjustable: phosphor glow, scanlines, phosphor texture, glass vignette, ghosting, VHS tracking • Background: circuit traces with travelling light pulses, code rain or off • Configurable boot sequence: duration, frequency, typing effect, cursor, custom prompt • Power profiles Eco / Balanced / Cinematic, reduced motion, automatic Eco on low battery • Always-on: dark, thin raster time with burn-in protection Compatible with Garmin watches with a round AMOLED display, including fēnix 8 / 8 Pro / E, epix (Gen 2) / epix Pro, Forerunner 165, 170, 265, 570, 965, 970, 70, Venu 2 / 3 / 4, vívoactive 5 / 6, MARQ (Gen 2 / 3), D2, Descent Mk3 / G2, Instinct 3 AMOLED and Approach S50 / S70 / S72. Not for watches with a MIP display (e.g. fēnix 8 Solar). Notes: Body Battery, stress and floors are shown only if the watch provides them, otherwise "--". Animations run only in the active display mode; the watch is never kept awake. Settings: Garmin Connect app or on the watch (watch face → Customize). Privacy: WRIST_TERMINAL only displays data locally on the watch. No data is collected, stored or transmitted.
