Description
Nice and simple position widget which can show your GPS coordinates, address, and location on a world map. More details: This widget shows your GPS coordinates and updates them as you move. If your watch is connected to the internet, your current address is guessed by using OpenStreetMap reverse geocoding. If the connection is unavailable, only the coordinates are shown. There is a second screen with your position marker on a tiny world map, with an arrow indicating your heading. If your watch does not have a built-in compass, you need to keep moving for heading indication to work. Known issues: - there was a bug in 920XT firmware causing an inability of a widget to acquire GPS signal under certain conditions; not sure if Garmin fixed it - if coordinates are shown incorrectly or not at all, unchecking "Show Deg/Min/Sec Symbols" option in the widget settings should help Version history: 0.9.0: initial release for fēnix 3 (+ HR), tactix Bravo, quatix 3 & D2 Bravo 0.9.1: support for vivoactive & 920XT, minor tweaks to look and feel 0.9.2: added second screen with tiny world map & position mark 0.9.3: added heading indication on a world map, new colors 0.9.4: configuration using GCM/GE 0.9.5: support for epix 0.9.6: support for Forerunner 230, 235 & 630 0.9.7: fix/workaround for coordinates display issue 0.9.8: fix of 0 heading indication bug (introduced in 0.9.7) Planned roadmap: 0.9.9: support for new devices (Q4 2019) 1.0.0: ability to save current position to watch, using selected part of an address as a name (Q4 2019) 1.1: ability to display coordinates as UTM or MGRS and ability to see the whole address without scrolling Support thread: https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?343252
