If you have newer device, consider migration to QuickForecast 2 - as this widget, due to need of keeping backward compatibility, will be no longer developed. This is highly configured weather forecast widget. Remember to configure it according to your needs! 1. Quick Forecast widget and differences between devices, differences in data source 2. Quick Forecast version 5.00 is taking advantage of latest firmware update for Garmin devices, therefore it is strongly recommended to update your watch before using this widget, otherwise it may not work. There are currently 3 different data source available. There are differences in forecast as each provider offer their own weather model, so check each of the data source and decide which one you want to use. Beside - there is difference in provided data, therefore some of the features are available only with certain data source. This is not the weather widget you see usually, as the aim is to present as much information as possible, therefore professional weather icons are in use instead of nicely looking clouds and sun. If you are looking for handy and yet - professional set of weather data - you are welcome. How to use: After initial start, program is waiting for GPS coordinates, therefore it may take a while to refresh forecast data. Next start - through menu it is possible to use last known position or to use fresh coordinates using GPS Press Select/Start to scroll forecast On touchable devices tap on left/right part of screen to scroll forecast backward/forward 3. Now user can select weather data source directly from the watch - from the main menu Apixu: https://www.apixu.com/ DarkSky: https://darksky.net/ WuDerground: https://www.wunderground.com/ 4. It is expected that more weather data sources will be added soon. Unfortunately since 2018 data source is no longer available for free and I have to cover a monthly fee which is $3.05 USD. Older: Probability - change of color Now possible to configure visibility of UV idx, Gust wind and Dew temperature through Garmin Express More devices with full data presentation. Following devices - due to either low memory available or old CIQ version - will stay with limited forecast data (no rain probability, no UV index) :D2 Bravo, D2 Bravo Titanium, Fenix3, Fenix3 HR, Fenix Chronos, fr230, fr235, fr630, fr735xt, fr920xt, fr935, Vivoactive, Vivoactive HR UV index hourly (for capable devices - depends of memory) Rain probability (for capable devices - depends of memory) Fenix 3HR fix Through properties now it is possible to set: - Number of forecast hours - Number of hours scrolled by pressing button - Enable/Disable background automatic update - Temperature units (System default, C, F) - NEW - Wind units (System default, mph, km/h, knots) - NEW Devices with smaller memory have access to custom location (not only current defined by GPS) New weather source available Fix sunrise/sunset calculation By default - show 2 past hours Respecting 'show hours from the past' even if no data available Feels like temperature from now on showns always as thin line, real temperature - thick Rebuild of the program - if something is not working as expected - please report to the developer! Possibility to choose weather data source, currently two sources are available (directly from menu) - Apixu and DarkSky Added Wind Gusts - if applicable, shown below wind speed. Currently only DarkSky is providing gust winds Rearrangement of screen to fit additional data Background download as option - by default this is turned on (if supported by device) but you can switch it off by entering into Widget properties (on Garmin Express or on your phone)
