Description

Launch Tasker directly from a widget. Base code is https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/fbb74bfe-f617-4667-be49-884239c12307 with a widget launcher added. See original app for help with setup. New features are being added to the widget prior to the main app due to lower user base to ensure functionality before pushing to the main app. Any feedback positive/negative/requests is appreciated. New quick start instructions: 1) Install AutoNotification (not sure if free will wrok or not, I use the paid version, I believe their is a free trial) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joaomgcd.autonotification&hl=en 2) Import the following tasker profile: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NdqhzfceOkSDDzftWo0ri3RjctjPSiAM/view?usp=sharing *If you want a more advanced example for the task called by the base profile see this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yqDOGA1lsfwrVFzVtsFDM65aYEi1zAav/view?usp=sharing 3) If your phone is not in English adapt the the part that says "wants to open" to your native language. 4) Create tasks in Tasker with simple and descriptive titles that you want to use from the watch. 5) Assign those tasks to buttons or menus in the settings in Garmin Express or the Garmin Connect App by typing the name of the task into settings.

What's New

4.5.0 Lots of code cleanup for compatibility with latest sdk/devices 4.4.3 auto load working for devices with glance view 4.4.1 temperarily reverting to 4.3.1 due to bug in 4.4.0 4.4.0 Latest devices, attempt to get auto load to work again on devices with glance view enabled. Thanks to Daniel S for the assistance. 4.2.0 Attempted to add all latest watches 4.1.0 Added more 2019 devices 4.0.0 Added support for latest forerunners including 245M and 945 3.10 Added ability to capture key presses immediately which prevents scrolling between widgets without baking out of tasker widget first. 3.00 Added ability to launch another watch app or widget. Set the task line in settings in the format DISPLAYNAME=manifest-id://longstring . For example launching the Garmin Tasker App you would do "Launch Tasker App=manifest-id://AA5C4561237E47B4A066D123ADD59ECE". It should also work with DISPLAYNAME=store-id://{long string}, where the string comes from the product url, but there appears to be a bug I cannot figure out in the firmware. For now you will have to get manifest id's from developers or by decompilling the app you want. Feature was added for my own use, but I wanted to share the ability with otehrs. 2.70 & 2.80 Fixes for touchscreen devices 2.50 Better VA3 support 1.31 Added configurable colors, long list of options, defaults to black background with white text, FR230/235,630,920XT and Fenix 3 series watches will be limited to a subset of 14 colors and the watch will automatically pick the closest available color based upon the selection made (see https://developer.garmin.com/connect-iq/user-experience-guide/page-layout/). 1.21 Fixed crash on triple press to exit 1.20 Reduced length of button labels (and option to eliminate completely) and dynamic resizing of fonts on main page, redid main page text layout to better handle multiple device types 1.10 Added ability to skip the 4 button page and load the 20 task menu directly. 1.11 Fixed bug that prevented deleting previously entered tasks and added some instructions to settings. Set any task that you want removed to a SPACE character only and the app will delete the property on the next load.
