설명

The easy-run police for your Forerunner. Stay in zone 2, get buzzed when you push too hard. 80/20 training, done right. Full description Recovery Run Guard is a custom data field built for runners who follow the polarized 80/20 method (Seiler, Maffetone, MAF) and need help actually staying easy on their easy days. You set a heart-rate ceiling for your zone-2 runs. The data field watches every beat and alerts you the instant you drift over it — a clear on-screen message plus a wrist vibration — so you can ease off before the recovery day turns into another tempo run. What it shows Current heart rate, front and center Your configured HR ceiling, right below it Percentage above or below the limit (-5%, +9%, ...) Cumulative time in zone — only counts while you are under the ceiling A horizontal gauge with an orange marker at your limit A small "GUARD" indicator in the top-right when the guard is armed How the alerts work When HR goes above the ceiling: vibration + big "SLOW DOWN!" overlay (3s) Configurable cooldown (default 30s) so you are not buzzed every single second while you grind back into zone When you drop back into zone: a short positive "Good!" ping (2s) Pause the guard mid-run with a physical button If you enable "Lap button toggles guard" in settings, you can press the Lap button during any run to turn the guard ON or OFF on the fly. Perfect for a race where you want the screen but not the alerts. While the guard is off, a bright orange "GUARD OFF" banner runs across the top of the data field, no vibrations fire, and the rest of the screen keeps working as a regular display. Press Lap again to bring the guard back. Heads-up: each press also records a normal lap — a Garmin platform limitation. Settings (in Garmin Connect app) Guard enabled on start: whether the guard is armed when the activity begins Max HR for easy run (bpm): your HR ceiling, 100-200, default 145 Vibration alerts: on/off Alert cooldown (seconds): gap between repeated alerts, 10-120, default 30 Lap button toggles guard: if on, Lap during a run toggles the guard Alert language: ES, EN, FR, IT, DE, PT How to install Open Garmin Connect Mobile (or the Connect IQ app) on your phone. Go to Connect IQ Store and search "Recovery Run Guard". Tap Install and select your Forerunner 955. Let the watch sync over Bluetooth (usually under a minute). How to configure In Garmin Connect Mobile go to Garmin Devices → Forerunner 955 → Activities & App Management → Connect IQ Apps → Recovery Run Guard → Settings. Set your Max HR for easy run first — this is the number the guard defends. Toggle Vibration alerts, adjust the Alert cooldown, pick the Alert language. Decide whether Guard enabled on start and Lap button toggles guard should be on. Sync the watch. How to view the field during a run On the watch, press START and choose a Run activity. Before starting, hold UP → Activity & Apps → Run → Data Screens → Add New → Single Field → Connect IQ → Recovery Run Guard. Press START to begin your run. Use UP/DOWN to scroll to the Recovery Run Guard screen. Small GUARD label top-right = armed. Orange GUARD OFF band = paused — press Lap to toggle. Who is it for Runners training by the 80/20 / polarized method, MAF practitioners with a hard HR cap, anyone rehabbing an injury ("keep it easy"), Z2 base-building blocks and recovery days. Privacy: Recovery Run Guard does not collect or transmit any data. Everything stays on the watch.
