Description
Mooncake works out the Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean lunar calendar on your watch from the positions of the sun and moon, not from a table that runs out. It finds every new moon and all 24 solar terms, applies the leap-month rule, and does it in the right time zone for each calendar — Beijing time for China, Hanoi time for Vietnam, Seoul time for Korea. That is why New Year and the 1st and 15th land on the correct day, including the years when Tết and Chinese New Year fall a day apart. The home screen shows today's lunar date with the moon phase and the zodiac year. Swipe for a countdown to the next festival, a month calendar with lunar days and festivals marked, the current solar term with progress to the next one, and the year, month and day pillars with the next 1st and 15th. Convert any date in both directions, and keep lunar birthdays and memorial days that turn up on the right solar date every year. WHAT IT DOES - Today's lunar date, leap months included, with the moon phase - Chinese, Vietnamese or Korean calendar, each in its own time zone - Countdown to Spring Festival, Tết, Seollal, Qingming, Dragon Boat, Mid-Autumn, Chuseok, Double Ninth and more - Month calendar with lunar days and festivals - The 24 solar terms with the date and progress to the next - Zodiac animal (Cat and Buffalo in the Vietnamese calendar), heavenly stems and earthly branches for year, month and day - Next 1st and 15th of the lunar month for offerings - Date conversion solar to lunar and lunar to solar, 1902 to 2098 - Lunar birthdays and memorial days, five languages, and a glance with today's lunar date WHAT IT NEEDS - Nothing: no phone, no account, no internet — everything is worked out on the watch
