Description
Propwash turns the weather forecast on your watch into a go, marginal or no-go for your drone, hour by hour for the next twelve hours. It takes the surface wind and works out what it is at your flight altitude with the wind power law for your terrain, adds an estimate of the gusts, and compares that with the wind limit of your drone. Cold, heat, rain, fog, storms and daylight are weighed in as well, and the weakest factor is shown as the reason. It is a planning aid for hobby pilots and gives advice only: always check local rules, airspace and conditions yourself. The home screen is a twelve-hour dial around the edge of the display, each hour coloured by its verdict, with the best hour marked and the gust at altitude in the middle. Swipe for the wind profile from the ground up to your altitude, the usable flight time after the cold-battery and wind penalty, the best hour and window with sunrise, sunset and civil twilight, and your flight log. Tap the battery page to start a flight timer that counts down to your landing reserve and buzzes at half time, two minutes before reserve and when it is time to land. WHAT IT DOES - Go / marginal / no-go per hour for the next ~12 hours, with the best hour and the longest go window - Wind and gusts at flight altitude from the surface wind, for five terrain types - Profiles for popular drones plus a custom profile: wind limit, rated flight time, minimum temperature, rain resistance - LiPo cold derating and wind penalty give the usable flight time down to your landing reserve - Daylight rule of your choice: daylight only, civil twilight, or night with lights - Flight timer with battery countdown and vibration alerts, saved to a flight log - m/s, km/h, mph or knots, metres or feet, five languages, and a glance with the verdict WHAT IT NEEDS - A watch with Garmin weather, synced with your phone in the last few hours - No account and no subscription; airspace, no-fly zones and the Kp index are not included
